Study BHS in collaboration with Genzyme
Read moreBeste collega’s ,
Naar analogie van de Italiaanse prevalentiestudie (cfr poster) “A multicenter observational study of early diagnosis of Gaucher Disease in patients with splenomegaly and/or thrombocytopenia” zouden wij (Genzyme in collaboratie met BHS ) graag een gelijkaardige prevalentiestudie starten in België.
Chers Collègues,
Par analogie avec l’étude italienne de prévalence (voir poster) “A multicenter observational study of early diagnosis of Gaucher Disease in patients with splenomegaly and/or thrombocytopenia”, nous aimerions (Genzyme en collaboration avec le BHS) lancer une étude de prévalence de la Maladie de gaucher similaire en Belgique.

14th SIOG meeting, Portugal (23 to 25 October 2014)Surveys of The Red Cells Committee
Read moreDear Colleague,
The Red Cells Committee has already asked you twice to participate in surveys. The first time was in 2007, with a demographic study of haemoglobinopathies in Belgium (Hemoglobin. 2008;32(3):279-85.). Then it was in 2010-2011 with a European survey: "Facilities for patients with rare and very rare anaemias." The results were sent to the participants and will be published within a "white book" on the www.enerca.org site.
Our committee would like to focus on sickle cell disease in Belgium. Indeed, the Belgian plan on rare diseases is on-going. We believe that BHS should be part of this process. This could be achieved by establishing a map of sickle cell centres where patients are followed and the tools available in these centres for this type of patients. Our network would also be strengthened to the benefit of all.
If you are interested in this approach we invite you to complete the questionnaire available at:
https://qtrial.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_0VyEuToSWJWRrRb
It will take you about 5 minutes.
Thanking you in advance for your participation,
