As announced when we launched the new 2011-2013 BHS course (see the attached announcement brochure and SOP), the BHS will organize a final exam on the whole 2-yr program.

Place and time

• The exam will be organized every year in June at the Hof ter Musschen, Avenue Emmanuel Mounierlaan 2, 1200 Woluwe-St-Lambert/Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe (see attached file for directions).
• This exam will take place on June 8, 2013, from 9:30 till 12:00.

Presentations of the EBMT nursing meeting 2012, London

The collaborative work of medical scientists and physicians across the globe has resulted in a major medical milestone: the world’s 1 millionth blood stem cell transplant, a procedure that has become a proven and essential
therapy for many patients battling blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, as well as other critical diseases.

It is our pleasure to invite you to join us in Madrid, Spain 5-7 April 2013 for the European Focus on Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and Myelodysplastic Syndromes! This meeting promises to be a first-class educational event that focuses on the latest advances in MPD, MDS and MPN.

As of January 1, 2013 the yearly EHA membership fee for young hematologists (up to 36 years of age) will be reduced from € 100 to only € 20.

2013 EHA Fellowship Program

An important goal of the European Hematology Association (EHA) is to promote the career development of basic, clinical and experimental hematologists. Researchers in the fields of malignant and non-malignant hematological diseases, who are interested in a fellowship, may submit their project proposal for the annual EHA Fellowships Program. The grant funds of the fellowships have been increased in order to better meet the needs of talented young hematologists. The program is now open for submission and the deadline for sending your project proposal is January 04, 2013.

Comme je vous l'avais annoncé pendant notre congrès du 25/26 Octobre dernier, vous trouverez ci dessous l'annonce de la formation francophone pour inspecteurs JACIE déjà diffusée sur le site Jacie.org.

Cette formation aura donc lieu les 9 et 10 janvier prochains à l'Agence de la biomédecine, sera essentiellement réalisée en français, et le transport+hébergement des candidats retenus seront pris en charge par la SFGM-TC, aux conditions habituelles.

Je vous rappelle que les inspecteurs dont nous avons le plus besoin sont: pédiatres, inspecteurs de cytaphérèse (infirmières avec plus de 5 ans d'expérience bienvenues),  et de laboratoire. La formation sera adaptée pour chacun de ces 3 domaines (clinique, labo et cyta) comme habituellement.
